Anti-rowdy Squad Nabs Absconding Cattle Thief Wanted in Several Cases
Mangaluru: The south Sub Division Anti-rowdy squad arrested a Cattle thief at Kasaba Bengre here, on June 30.
The arrested has been identified as Abdul Kabeer alias Kabeer alias Parivala Kabeer from Kasaba Bengre.
According to the police, Abdul Kabeer was involved in various Cattle theft cases and 14 cattle theft cases are registered against him in Ullal, Kankanady, Bajpe, Panambur and Mangaluru South police stations. In addition, other theft cases are registered against him in the Mangaluru North police station, Uppinangadi and Mangaluru East police stations.
Abdul was also involved in the Temple Cattle theft case and was absconding after theft cases were registered against him in the North and East police stations. The court had issued a warrant to arrest Abdul in the Ullal police station case.
Abdul was arrested in Kasaba Bengre on June 30 and handed over to the Ullal police station. He was later produced before the court where he was remanded to Judicial custody.
Under the direction of Police commissioner Sandeep Patil and the able guidance of DCP L&O Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh, the operation was carried out under the leadership of ACP Ramrao and the Anti-rowdy squad.
