Author Johan Chris to release his anthology ‘MIRAGE – A TRIBUTE’
Udupi: Udupi based poet Johan Chris will be launching his first book , ‘Mirage – A Tribute’ in a unique function that will unfold itself at the Milagres College, Kallianpur, under the mango tree at 3:30 pm on 31st march. The book is published by the Department of English of the prestigious Milagres College. The book release will be attended by eminent Personalities in and around the Locality.
““Mirage – A Tribute” is a collection of 23 poems, Johan in this anthology has expressed his feelings and opinions on life in general, touching upon abstract and sometimes concrete situations in life. This anthology is a sincere effort from the poet to bring out the modern poetic thoughts of this generation into the mainstream. It highlights several double standards in the society that prevail, the rapid change in thought of the youth, and the change that has happened for good, also has been shed light upon. A couple of poems also deal with teenage issues of the modern youth and formation of conscience while highlighting the facts of introverted-ness. The Change in trends marks the trend of a new style of writing that can be seen in ‘Mirage – A Tribute’

Johan Chris (Johan Chris Antony Lewis) is a budding author and emerging Entrepreneur. His maiden book is titled ‘Mirage – A Tribute’ and is published by Milagres College, Udupi. The book is a collection of short poems. With his first published work at the age of 20, he is among one of the youngest authors in the country.
Johan Chris is an alumnus of the prestigious, Milagres college, Kallianpur. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors in Commerce degree from this institute. He is a proud Milagrean who largely credits his success to his Alma Mater. Johan was awarded the title of ‘The Best Outgoing Student’ by his institute for excelling in studies and co-curricular activities.
Besides writing poems and reading books, Johan Chris runs a successful business too. He set up his first venture called “Vibe Clothing & Accessories” at the young age of 19 years. His firm deals with clothing and fashion accessories and is up-scaling rapidly.
Johan Chris also holds the post of ‘Director of Business’ at J.C.I Kallyanpur Cosmo City and is the founding trustee of ‘Planet Mars Foundation’.
Johan likes spending his free time reading books and listening to music. He resides in Udupi with his family.
