Awareness and Interactive session Motor Vehicles Amendment Act held at SAC

Mangaluru: As part of the Academic curriculum the students of 3rd BA Journalism St Aloysius College organised a PR event on September 14, at Sanidhya hall.

The event began by invoking God’s blessings through prayer by Rachel Furtado. Iola Quadros welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest for the day was Gopalkrishna Bhat, Sub Inspector Kadri traffic Police station.

Gopalkrishna Bhat in his address to the students spoke about the new Motor Vehicles Amendment Act and enlightened them with road safety awareness. He further clarified the doubts the youngsters had on road ethics. There are people spreading wrong information about the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act. The amendments have been made for the good of the road users as well as the general public.

Adarsh PA student of 3rd BA Journalism gave a presentation and a Keynote address on the road safety ethics. The Head Constable of Kadri traffic police station Niranjan spoke to the students and asked the students to begin a revolution in road safety starting from their home. He said that students to follow the traffic rules and wear helmets, seat belts etc so that fatal injury could be avoided in case of accidents. He further gave a call to the students to spread the word among their near and dear ones.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Aiyappa MK Student of 3rd BA Journalism. The programme was Compered by Vipin Varghese. The student Coordinator of the programme, Kiran Kumar and Head Constable of Kadri Police Station Basheer were also present.
