Beltangady: The Beltangady Taluk Sauharda Vedike, an initiative of the Beltangady diocese of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, has made an appeal for preserving peace and harmony in the society.
The appeal has been made by Bishop Mar Lawrence Mukkuzhy of Beltangaday diocese, in the wake of recent unfortunate incidents in the taluk during the past days.
The Bishop has said that such incidents could never do any good to the society. Hence he has fervently pleaded with all communities to cooperate and promote communal harmony and peaceful co-existence.
The Bishop has maintained very cordial relationship with the leaders of different communities and takes parts in events held under the aegis of various organizations indiscriminate of caste, creed or class.
