Bharatheeya Sangeetha Sabha holds Mega Indian Classical Music Night 2017

Kuwait: Bharatheeya Sangeetha Sabha (BASS) Organized a Mega Indian Classical Music Night at the Cambridge School Auditorium, Mangaf. That was a profusely fledged Indian Traditional Carnatic classical programme with the illustrious performance of great music legend, Playback Singer Vidushi Dr S Sowmya along with great instrument artistes (PAKKAMELAM) award-winning and pioneering violinist Embar S Kannan and Renowned Mridangam Artiste Neyveli R Narayanan, also accompanied by Arun Narayanan on Gadam and Harilal on Ganjira.

The inaugural ceremony began with Indian Traditional Percussion (Pancharimelam) by Vadhyakalashethram team and greeted the Special guests, followed by the National Anthem of Kuwait and India.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guests Yashwant Chatpalliwar- Indian Embassy Representative to Kuwait, Kaandeepan Balasubramaniyam- Srilankan ambassador to Kuwait, Ayoob Kacheri, Francis Jacob, Sudhi Sugumaran, Rasheed Khan, Rochelle D’Souza and BASS Office Bearers Sindhu Ramesh, Anil Kumar and Jayakumar.

Bass President U Sunil Kumar chaired the meeting and in his Presidential address briefed about BASS and the programme as a whole. General Secretary Anil Kumar welcomed the audience.

Yashwant Chatpalliwar and Kaandeepan Balasubramaniyam addressing the gathering appreciated and greeted the BASS members for their inexorable services in terms of Indian Traditional Classical Music and promoting the rich Indian cultural heritage in Kuwait.

Celebrity Guest Dr Sowmya released the Mega Indian Classical Music Night 2017 Souvenir by collecting a copy from Bass Souvenir Conveners Balakrishnan and Sadiq Salim and handed it over to the main sponsors and dignitaries on the dais.

The three Hour concert was distinctive with an occasional treat for music lovers in Kuwait, Legendary Singer Vidushi Dr S Sowmya along with great instrument artists (PAKKAMELAM) award-winning and pioneering violinist Embar S Kannan and Renowned Mridangam Artiste Neyveli R Narayanan also accompanied Arun Narayanan on Gadam and Harilal on Ganjira performed incredibly. The Cambridge auditorium was jam-packed with the lovely audience.

The event was precisely coordinated by the Programme Committee Ajith Kumar, Srikanth, Gopi, Jayakumar Manivanan, Rajagopal. Pramod, Salil Varma, Raju, Anil, Prasanth, Rajesh, Vaithyanathan, Viju Vareed, Devadas, Baburaj, Elangovan, Keerthi Sumesh, Srijitha, Sajeeb Kumar, Sooraj, Jayaseelan, Thomas and Sruthi.

The show was well hosted by Rajesh, All the Committee members with their hard work and unity poured their heart into making the show a grand success. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mahesh Iyer.
