BJP Misusing Billawa Youth and Playing Caste Politics – Harish Kumar
Mangaluru: “The BJP leaders have lost hopes seeing the Congress election campaign and is now spreading propaganda. They have indulged in Caste politics. This time Congress party has given the ticket to two Billawa candidates to contest the Lok Sabha elections whereas the BJP is misleading and misusing the Billawa youth and enjoying power”, said the District Congress president and MLC Harish Kumar in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on March 30.
Addressing the mediapersons Harish Kumar said, “The Congress party has given positions to the Billawa community leaders as SKPCC president, CM, MP and Union ministers. Let BJP tell us the positions they have given to the Billawa community leaders.”
Harish Kumar further said, “BJP has misused the community letterhead by forging the signature of the president and asking for votes. We have already filed a complaint in this regard. The forged letterhead has gone viral in social media. The BJP is now acting like they are showing concern for Janardhan Poojary instead let they show concern for Lal Krishna Advani. On the other hand, they are also criticizing Poojary for praising our candidate. Let them stop criticizing Poojary”.
Harish Kumar also said, “The Congress party has already taken measures to hold party meetings at the booth and zone levels. From April 1, our Mane Manege beti campaign will begin. On April 1, the Vijaya Bank which was founded in Dakshina Kannada will be merged with the Bank of Baroda and the Congress party will observe a black day in front of the Congress office Mallikatta. If the Congress comes to power in the center we will reverse the merger of Vijaya Bank.”
“There are chances of Rahul coming to Mangaluru for the election campaign but the date is not yet finalized. The central ministers and celebrities will join us for the election campaign. On April 1, D K Shivakumar will come to Puttur for the election campaign and April 2 Dinesh Gundu Rao will be in Sullia for the campaign”, said Harish Kumar.
