CASK Centenary Trust to Award Scholarships Worth ₹30 Lakhs to 307 Students

Mangaluru: The CASK Centenary Trust is set to disburse scholarships exceeding ₹30 lakhs to 307 deserving students on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Centenary Building, St Agnes College, Mangaluru. This marks a significant milestone in the Trust’s ongoing commitment to supporting economically disadvantaged students in their pursuit of education.

Since 2014, the CASK Centenary Trust has been providing scholarships to students based solely on their economic circumstances, irrespective of their religion, language, academic performance, or merit. The Trust prioritizes applicants from marginalized or distressed families, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their educational aspirations.

The scholarship distribution ceremony will be presided over by Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha. Esteemed guests of honor include Mr. Michael D’Souza, a prominent NRI philanthropist, and Dr. Rohan Monteiro, Chairman of Rohan Corporation. The event will be attended by the scholarship recipients, their parents, and the donors and benefactors of the CASK Centenary Trust, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

The CASK Centenary Trust’s broader mission encompasses various initiatives in education, healthcare, shelter support, counseling, and environmental preservation. Since its inception in 2014, the Trust has been dedicated to reaching out with empathy to those in distress and on the margins of society. With a vision to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change, the Trust endeavors to strengthen communities and improve the lives of individuals it serves.

The scholarship program is designed to motivate beneficiaries to excel in their academic endeavors, enabling them to secure a quality education and become self-reliant contributors to their families, communities, and the nation.

This year’s cohort of 307 beneficiaries includes 162 female students, with nearly 40% hailing from rural areas. The students represent over 70 different educational institutions, spanning from schools and colleges to professional streams such as nursing, engineering, and paramedical courses. This diverse representation underscores the Trust’s commitment to inclusivity and equitable access to education for all.
