Congress Leader Ivan D’Souza and his wife Test Positive for Coronavirus

Mangaluru: Congress Leader and Former MLC Ivan D’Souza has tested positive for the coronavirus on August 1.

Ivan D’Souza had participated in the party meeting, and press meet on July 31 at the Congress Bhavan when KPCC President D K Shivakumar visited Mangaluru for the first time after becoming the president.

On August 1, Ivan D’Souza had also visited senior Congress leader Vijay Kumar Shetty along with D K Shivkumar, MLA U T Khader and a number of others.

In his Facebook message, Ivan D’Souza has stated, “Myself and my wife Dr Kavitha have been tested Corona positive. There are no symptoms, but we have voluntarily gone and given our samples and tested. There is no anxiety or concern.

We request all our friends and well-wishers not to visit us. Your prayers, blessings and good wishes are our strength.

  1. These politicians are spreading Corona everywhere. They don’t follow any safety. Don’t wear masks. Always remove masks and pose for media people. Even after people warn them they don’t listen.

  3. Few politicians are main for the spread coronavirus. They do not follow safety precautions and are giving the disease to the common man. The public has to warn them.

    • Please advise Modi not to attend the Ram temple inauguration as he over 65 and is at greater risk of susceptibility to corona virus.

  9. If you look at yesterdays pictures of DKShi visit to mangaluru , you can see all congress leaders without mask and close proximity with one of the youth congress leader who was tested positive.
    I am worried tha they were at Bishop’s house.
    Bishop’s house should have strict policies for visitors till the pandemic ends.
