Couple Attempts Suicide Consuming Poison in Kollur-Udupi Bus, Condition Critical
Kundapur: A couple identified as Rajkumar (35) and his wife Sangeetha (28) native of Tamilnadu and presently residing at Ambalpadi near Udupi attempted to commit suicide in the Kollur-Udupi bus. Their condition is said to be critical.
According to the Police, the couple Rajkumar and Sangeetha along with their one and half year-old son had visited Kollur Temple. After completing the puja they had left to Udupi in a private bus in which they consumed poison and attempted to commit suicide.
The other passengers who noticed them informed the bus driver. The Bus driver directly rushed the Bus to the Kundapur Government Hospital without stopping. The Kundpaur Govt Hospital Authority shifted the couple to the Udupi District hospital after giving primary treatment. As per the report the condition of the couple is critical .
The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The police are investigating.
