COVID – 19: Nine Districts Including Dakshina Kannada to Lockdown Till March 31
Bengaluru: In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak the state government has decided to lockdown 9 districts in the state on March 22.
Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Dakshina Kannada, Chikkaballapura, Kodagu, Dharwad, Mysuru, Belagavi and Kalaburgi will completely lockdown until March 31. From March 23 the Metro service will also be suspended.
Essential services like Medical shops, Ambulances, Petrol Pumps, food items, drinking water and police services will be available.
There is a fear of the Coronavirus spreading in these six districts as a number of positive cases have been. A decision on the PUC examinations that are scheduled to begin on March 23 will be taken soon.
