Criminal Case against Fake Voter ID Holders – Nandan Mallya

Mangaluru: “The BJP legal cell has already complained to the Election commission about the fake voter ID’s in Mangaluru South Constituency and requested to take action. Students from various states come to Mangaluru to pursue their education and stay in hostels. Some who work here stay PG’s, all those have been included in the voter list with fake addresses which is a criminal offence”, said the General Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha Nandan Mallya in a press meet held at the BJP Mangaluru South Election office, Kodialguthu here on May 4.

Addressing the mediapersons Nandan Mallya said, “Some have already obtained the voter ID in Kerala but they have again applied for the voter ID in Mangaluru. Those who have applied for voter IDs in both states should be punished if not the BJP will take up the issue legally”.

Nandan Mallya further said, “In the South constituency we have found many fake voter IDs and BJP has been collecting all the information of such IDs. On the voting day, we will form a special investigation team to find out the fake voters and hand over all the information to the Election commission. Criminal cases should be registered against those who cast illegal votes”.

Nandan also alleged, “In the last elections there were similar incidents and the Congress candidate won the elections. We have taken all the necessary measures to identify more than 3000 fake voters listed. We have already filed a complaint with the election commission but no action has been taken so far. On the election day, 2 members from the Yuva Morcha will be present in every booth to check for fake voters.”

BJP Yuva Morcha President Sandeep Shetty, Vice President Madhu Shetty, Charitra Amin and others were also present.
