Dashiel Amanda Concessao Honored with Dakshina Kannada Zilla Rajyotsava Award
Mangalore: Dashiel Amanda Concessao received the prestigious Dakshina Kannada Zilla Rajyotsava Award 2025–2026 for her achievements in skating. The award ceremony took place today at Nehru Maidan, Mangalore, where Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, presented the honor.
Ms. Concessao’s dedication, discipline, and perseverance in skating have earned her this well-deserved recognition, marking a proud moment for Derebail, Mangalore, where she resides.
The accomplished skater is the daughter of Mr. Francis Concessao and Mrs. Doris Concessao of Derebail, Mangalore. She is also the sister of Dafnal and Daniel Concessao. Ms. Concessao completed her basic schooling at Cambridge School and her 12th-grade education at Presidency School. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in BBA at SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore.
Throughout her career, Ms. Concessao has amassed a remarkable collection of 149 medals across various levels of competition: 57 at the district level, 48 at the state level, 15 at the zonal level, 27 at the national level, and 2 at the international level. She also represented India at the 9th Asian Winter Games held in Harbin, China, where she secured 5th place in the relay event. Ms. Concessao is a member of the Hi-Flyers Skating Club and is mentored by Coach Mr. Mohandas K in Mangalore.
Her journey serves as an inspiration to young athletes aspiring to achieve excellence in sports.
