College Park, MD, USA: The DC Mangalorean Association hosted a grand and memorable Christmas celebration at the Rasoi Restaurant in College Park, Maryland.
Over 100 people including children from Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia joined in the celebration. Eliza Lobo was the MC for the evening. The event started with a Nativity play by the children. Lance Barboza, Reynel Castelino and Andrea D’Souza provided some beautiful Christmas music and everyone joined in singing Christmas songs.
Juliet Vas, president of the Mangalorean Association welcomed everyone. The vice president, Reynel Castelino joined in welcoming everyone and talked in brief about the non-profit organization “CREST International” that the association was supporting at the event.
Children were excited when Santa showed with up with presents for them and posed with them for pictures.
Juliet and Renita hosted variety of games for the guests. There were number of spot prizes and Raffle prizes including iPAD mini, Kuswar basket, gift cards among others. DJ Theo added to the joyful mood by playing some great music. Everybody was on the dance floor and had a fantastic time until the very end!
Christine Hobbs led the prayer before meal. The attendees were treated to delicious appetizers and a sumptuous dinner.
