‘I have Explosive Information on Sharath murder case’ – Vajradehi Swamiji

Mangaluru: “I have explosive information on the Sharath Murder case. I will reveal it only to the National Investigation Agency. On July 7 at 12:05 am Sharath breathed his last in the hospital but the authorities informed it to the family members after 20 hours of his death. Why did the Hospital authorities delay in informing Sharath’s death to his family members? Why did Minister U T Khader visit the Hospital one day prior to Sharath’s death? We want Sharath’s murder case to be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). We will meet the Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh and request him to open the NIA office in Mangaluru”, said the Swamiji of Vajradehi Math Sri Sri Rajashekaranand in a press meet held at Hotel Janatha Delux Pathumudi here on July 14.

Addressing the mediapersons Swamiji Rajashekaranand said, “On July 8, Sharath’s body was taken in a procession from A J Hospital to his home town. The procession reached peacefully to B C Road, but when it entered B C Road, miscreants pelted stones on the procession. But the police have filed cases against Hindu leaders who were leading the procession peacefully.

Hindu leaders have been booked under section 307 but those who pelted stones have not yet been arrested. Why is the discrimination against Hindus? The Hindu society is peace loving and Hindus want to live in peace. ISIS is rooted in Kerala and Bhatkal and there is a need to curb it for which we need the National Investigation Agency in Dakshina Kannada. We also need to stop the communal violence and investigate all the murder cases.”

Swamiji further said, “There is communal violence in the district which is supported by KFD, PFI and SDPI. The Hindu community did not start the violence, but there are continuous atrocities on Hindus. We will not tolerate communal politics. The Congress government is pleasing a particular community for vote bank. On July 7, the Chief Minister visited Mangaluru to attend some party programme. Being the CM of the state, he could have visited Sharath in the Hospital but he thought otherwise. Instead of organising the party programme, they could have organised a peace meeting. On July 13, the District Minister In-charge called for a peace meeting without inviting the Hindu religious leaders.”

Swamiji also said, “Communal violence happening only in Bantwal and Ullal shows the failure of Ramanath Rai and U T Khader. Those who participated in Sharath’s funeral procession have been booked and the police are raiding the houses of Hindu leaders during the night and harassing the family members. Sharath was killed when section 144 was in force. The district minister In-charge has insulted a Police officer in front of the party workers and pressurized him to arrest Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat. The police should not be puppets of the government or political leaders. They should work transparently without any pressure.

Swamiji further said, “Cases filed against Hindu leaders should be withdrawn, Sharath’s killers should be arrested. A delegation will meet the Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh to request him to open an office of the NIA in Mangaluru to investigate all the murder cases of Hindu youth in the district. We are ready to approach even the prime minister if necessary,” Swamiji said.

When asked about revealing the explosive information only to NIA and not trusting the Local police, Swamiji said, “Borase was a good IPS officer but Minister Rai insulted him in front of his party workers. If a police officer has been treated in such a way, how can we believe that we will get justice?”

When asked why the Hindu outfits are holding press meets separately and demanding justice? Swamiji said, “Hindu Samrakshana Samiti” is to protect Hindus. HSS is not related to RSS, Bajrang Dal or VHP.”

President of Hindu Samrakshana Samiti K R Shetty, Vice President Sushanth Amin, Shruthin Shetty, Karthik Shetty Barke, Ganesh Kulal Kedila and Prashanth Gurupur were also present.
