FIR filed against Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Muthalik

Bengaluru: Police have filed a FIR against Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Muthalik for making a provocatory statement which may lead to disturb peace among the communities.

The Police have registered a suo moto complaint after Muthalikduring a protest on July 2 in the city said: “we will notallow holding Iftar party in Krishna Mutt at Udupi next year and weare even ready to shed our blood to stop such event taking place again”.

Sri Rama Sene activists who were protesting against holding Iftar party and allowing Muslims to offer Eid prayer in the Mutt premises recently by Vishveshathirteetha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt had held a protest march at various places in the State and in the City Muthalik addressing the agitators stated that Swamiji’s act had degraded the image of Hindus and such things will not be allowed to take place next year.

The High Grounds police have registered an FIR under section 153a(promoting enmity between two religious groups).
