Food Safety Officers Shut Down PVR INOX Juice Counter at Bengaluru Mall Over Violations
Bengaluru: Food Safety Officers from the Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Department have taken action following a complaint regarding the cups used to serve juice to customers at PVR INOX, Forum Mall, Konanakunte Cross, Bengaluru.
During an inspection, the officers reportedly found violations of food safety regulations. A notice has been issued to the establishment, and the juice counter has been shut down.
Sharing the information, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said that food safety regulations apply equally to all businesses, irrespective of their size or brand. He urged food business operators to strictly adhere to the prescribed standards and prioritise the health of their customers.
“Public health matters as much as business,” he emphasised.
He also appealed to members of the public to report unhygienic food handling, packaging or serving practices. Consumers can scan the Food Safety QR code and submit complaints, which will be examined by the department.
The minister reiterated that food safety rules must be followed by everyone, from major brands to small vendors.
