Four Fishermen Missing after Country Boat Capsizes at Gangolli
Udupi: Four fishermen have gone missing after a country boat in which they were fishing capsized at the estuary at Koderi Jetty, Gangolli here on 16 August.
The missing persons are Manjunath Kharvi, Laxman Kharvi, Shekar Kharvi and Nagaraj Kharvi.
According to primary reports, on 16 August, 12 fishermen had gone for fishing. While they were fishing their boat capsized due to heavy winds near the estuary at Koderi jetty, Gangolli CSP limits.
Out of the 12, eight fishermen swam to safety, but the other four have gone missing.
The Inspector of Gangolli police station and the rescue team has reached the spot. The search operations are on for the missing four fishermen.
