Get Ready to Enthrall Yourselves at the Musical Spectacular ‘SANGEETH TSUNAMI-5 on Saturday 25 November at St Aloysius College LCRI Hall, Mangaluru, where a Father & Daughter Duo will rock the stage with Konkani, Kannada, Tulu, etc

Mangaluru: During the press meet held at Mangaluru Press Club it was revealed that Melba Events, Kulshekar, Mangaluru is thrilled to present its 5th edition of ‘SANGEETH TSUNAMI-5’ on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at the LCRI Auditorium, St. Aloysius College, in the heart of Mangaluru. This year’s event promises an unforgettable experience, featuring over 700 eager attendees, a lineup of 24 captivating songs, and an anticipated viewership exceeding 100,000 through live streaming on YouTube and Facebook. The audience will be treated to a mesmerising 4-hour performance commencing at 5:30 pm, led by esteemed singers Miss Rishal Crasta and her dad, Rony Crasta, accompanied by a cadre of talented artists.

This musical gala will witness distinguished guests, including renowned NRI philanthropist Dr. Ronald Colaco as the guest of honour, and esteemed Bollywood Director and Cinematographer Lawrence D’Souza as the chief guest. The event will be presided over by Dr. Praveen Martis SJ, Principal of St. Aloysius College. Esteemed personalities such as Ln. Sanjeeth Shetty, Immediate Past District Governor, Lions Club Dist 317; Dr. Alwyn D’Sa, Registrar of St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru; City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal; ACP Central Subdivision S. Mahesh Kumar; ACP Traffic Ms Geetha Kulkarni; Karwar DySP Valentine D’Souza: Realtor Rohan Monteiro, Vijay Kumar Jain of Amantrana Parivara, Comedy Kiladi fame Kavitha Sudheendhra, and Alice Rodrigues Kulshekar will grace the evening.

More than 30 talented singers, including students and emerging artists, will serenade the audience with a repertoire spanning Bollywood, Kannada, Tulu, and Konkani music. Melba Events remains committed to supporting musical endeavours and artists in the region, extending financial aid to two deserving trusts dedicated to this cause.


Sangeeth Tsunami is an initiative aimed at fostering a vibrant musical culture in the region. Initiated by renowned singer Rony Crasta in 2015 at Mandd Sobhann, Sangeeth Tsunami has evolved into a platform nurturing local talent, fostering the growth of numerous budding artists who have excelled in the musical arena under Rony’s mentorship.


Hailing from Mangaluru, Lawrence D’Souza stands as a prominent figure in Bollywood, renowned for his contributions as a director and cinematographer. His impactful storytelling and emotional depth were evident in movies like “Saajan” (1991), featuring Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Sanjay Dutt, which received critical acclaim for its poignant narrative and memorable music. Another milestone in his career was “Khalnayak” (1993), appreciated for its compelling storyline and stellar performances. D’Souza’s expertise in cinematography was showcased in acclaimed films like “Mashaal” (1984) and “Maine Pyar Kiya” (1989), lauded for their visual appeal and storytelling prowess.


Rishal Melba Crasta, a young female vocalist, has garnered notable acclaim and recognition in the music industry despite her tender age, showcasing remarkable talent and unwavering dedication. Her musical journey is punctuated by significant achievements: securing 1st place in SKA London and Infant Jesus Mysore competitions, emerging as the winner at Drasper Studio, advancing to the 2nd round in Zee Kannada Sarigamapa 19th edition, and securing 1st place at Konkani Natak Sabha. Furthermore, she was a finalist in Team Amantrana, Jigi Bigi Thara, and Sangeetha Thare competitions. Notably, Rishal clinched the top prize at the Konkani Nataka Sabha International Singing Competition in 2022. Balancing her passion for music with her academic pursuits, Rishal is currently a 10th-grade student at St. Joseph English Medium School in Kulshekar.


Rony Crasta, a versatile singer and anchor, boasts an extensive repertoire of over 1000 CDs sung in Hindi, Kannada, Tulu, and Konkani. With notable performances in Konkani and Tulu films, Rony has showcased his talent on prominent platforms such as Doordarshan and Radio stations. Renowned for hosting the immensely successful ‘Sangeeth Tsunami’ shows, having conducted four editions already, he is set to grace the stage for the fifth edition on November 25th at the St. Aloysius College Auditorium. His musical journey extends beyond borders, having enthralled audiences abroad and in various locations. Rony’s rendition of the Konkani song “Sofia,” composed by Melwyn Peris, stands as a testament to his success, garnering a remarkable 1.6 million views. Additionally, he has released his own CD titled “Mevissaa,” showcasing his musical prowess and creativity.
