  1. This news of ghastly accidents on NH66/NH17 is not new or news.

Numerous complaints have been written in various media on the reckless and possible drunken driving of these private buses that run from Mangalore to Udupi and vice versa, and also on the parking of trucks on highways and service roads – question is: What is the RTO doing about preventing such ghastly accidents or in ensuring truck and half lorry drivers do not park on the dark highways and service roads.

Special Pay and Park Areas or Zones in each town from Mangalore to Kundapur must be constructed adjacent to highways for the benefit of those trucks and half lorries that pay TOLL anyway if using the highway.
