Girl Missing, Group barges into House at Kuthar, Two Arrested

Mangaluru: On November 19, Fathima (name changed), a resident of Barke, went to the Mangaluru city corporation but she never returned home, which led to suspicion that the girl has been forcibly kept under house arrest. A group later barged into a house to find out if the girl was there. Two persons of the group were later arrested by the Ullal police at Kuthar.

According to police, on November 19, Fathima said to her home people that she will go to the Mangaluru City corporation. Her sister Suhana (name changed) got suspicious, and followed her, she saw Fathima entering a shop in Kudroli. Later a youth who came on a two-wheeler took Fathima with him on his two-wheeler.

Suhana immediately informed the family members about Fathima going along with a youth on the two-wheeler. Fathima’s family members followed her and at around 7:00 pm, they barged into the house belonging to Lobo at Kuthar.

Lobo informed the police about the group barging into his house. The police reached the spot immediately, after seeing the police, the accused fled from the spot in a car, but the police were able to nab two of the accused.

The arrested have been identified as Shiyab from Manjeshwar and Majid from Manjanadi. ACP Shruti, Inspector Gopikrishna, Crime SI Rajendra, CCB Inspector Shyam Sundar reached the spot for investigations. A case has been registered in Ullal police station.
