Boys need to follow in her footsteps to accomplish your dreams. We need to work hard to make our dreams come true, just like how Nishel strived hard in her three months training in Mysuru, Moodabidri and Bengaluru, before she unleashed her talents at the Republic day parade in New Delhi. Her determination, commitment and hard work yield good results. She was bold and strong to stay away from her parents for three long months. She has indeed become a ‘Star’ of St Aloysius High School through her big time achievement” added D’Mello. To talk about Nishel Flora D’Almeida- she is the proud daughter of Naveen D’Almeida, a entrepreneur in Mangaluru, and Chris Evert D’Almeida a teacher at St Aloysius High school-Mangaluru hailing from Kulshekar, Nishel is a girl of many talents like dancing. singing, compering, dramatics, poetry recital, essay writing and public speaking. With constant encouragement from her home and school, Nishel could mould herself into what she is today. A dream to join the Air force after her 7 thstd led Nishel Flora D’Almeida, -presently studying in 9th Std- search for a school that had an NCC Air Wing.

Her search ended at St Aloysius High School- Mangaluru. Her dream to be a pilot, to soar the sky made her work hard at school in Junior women’s Air Wing of the NCC. Even though she had to go through several hardships, she remained firm. Her goal was New Delhi. Several selection camps at Alva’s Moodabidri, saw her proceeding to Bengaluru for Pre- RDC selections. At Delhi several competitions such as rifle shooting, traditional dance, drill, public speaking, singing, name it, she has given her best. Nishel emerged as the best cadet in all the camps. She put her heart and soul in it.

Even at school, she was the girl that got totally involved. She went through several exams to be selected as one of the best Cadets of all states. Nishel’s excellence in march past and shooting in air wing is an added feather in her cap. Nishel credits her success to her family members, teachers and especially the school NCC ANO Sunil Rohan Lobo who helped her reach greater heights.
