Harish Murder Attempt Case, Three Arrested by Anti-rowdy Squad

Mangaluru: On October 3, the North Sub-division Anti Rowdy Squad arrested the accused in the attempt to murder case of Harish.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Sheriff alias Sheriff (24) from Ammunje, Shifaz (21) and Mohammed Arif (28) from Bajpe.

According to the police on September 24 night at Suralpadi, when Harish was on his way home after finishing his work, the accused came on a motorcycle and assaulted him. After the crime the accused fled from the spot. In this connection, a case was filed in the Bajpe police station.

Three teams were formed, one each from Mangaluru CCB police and Mangaluru City North Sub-division Anti Rowdy Squad and the Bajpe Police station to find the accused.

On getting information about the accused the Mangaluru City North Sub-division Anti Rowdy Squad arrested the accused and seized a bike bearing registration number KA 19 EL 0985 from their possession. The police are looking out for the other accused.

Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh and under the able guidance of DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashant and under the able leadership of ACP North Sub Division Rajendra D S, the operation was carried out by the Panambur police Inspector Rafiq K M, CCB Police Inspector Shantharam, and Anti Rowdy Squad ASI Mohammed Bajpe, Kushal Maniyani, Satish M, Vijay Kanchan, Isaac, Radhakrishna and Sharan Kali.
