Hinduism my Forte, will Contest Elections if given the Ticket – Vajradehi Swamiji

Mangaluru: On rumours that Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math will contest the forthcoming Assembly elections and when www.mangalorean.com contacted Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji, he said, “The assembly elections are nearing and discussions are held within various Hindu organizations suggesting that I should contest the elections. I was even asked from Delhi about contesting the elections for which I had replied, “If given the opportunity by the high command I will surely contest the elections from any constituency.”

When asked which constituency the Swamiji would contest, Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji said, “I am ready to contest from any constituency, whichever the party decides. We have various Hindu organizations and the members of the organizations insisting me to contest the elections. We need to strengthen and safeguard the Hindu Dharma. If the Hindu Dharma will be strengthened, Karnataka state will improve and develop. In Karnataka, there are no proper roads and from the past 4 years, there is no development in the state. The system in the state is very bad which should be improved. If I will be given a chance, I will work for the development of the state.”

When asked about a Swamiji contesting the election Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji said, “I am not a secular man, I believe only in Hinduism and I treat everyone according to Hinduism. For example, Muslims observe one month fast during Ramadan but from ages, Hindus are observing fasting. The Christians celebrate the feast of Nativity and we too celebrate such a feast. So I treat everyone according to Hinduism and I take the people together through Hinduism”.

On the decision of contesting the elections, Swamiji said, “I was not interested to contest, but when Amritha Sanjeevini, Hindu Samrakshana Samiti and other Hindu organizations insisted me to contest, I gave it a thought and decided to contest. My aim is to safeguard the Hindu Dharma so that everything else improves. I do not have a political background, I am a spiritual person and not selfish. The high command should decide and select the right candidates.”

Later When mangalorean.com VHP District president Jagadish Shenava about Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji contesting the Assembly elections, Shenava said, “The high command will decide the right candidates for the forthcoming elections. So far no announcement of the candidates has been made.”

  1. Which party he will contest the elections from?

Does high command culture persists or exist in BJP? Whom he is referring when he says ‘High Command’? Modi (Mota Bhai) or Shah (Saheb) or Yeddy (Most — CM Karnataka ever seen).
