Home Ministry misused Police Force, Congress carried out Forcible Bandh – MP Nalin

Mangaluru: “In the Coastal district Congress leaders have misused the police department and forcibly shut down the shops. The Home ministry has misused the police force and encouraged to carry out a forceful bandh. The coalition government in the state is using government officials to support the bandh”, said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel in a press meet held at the BJP office here on September 10.

Addressing the mediapersons MP Nalin said, “Calling for bandh is a national loss and according to the Supreme court and high court those who call for bandh should bear the loss. In this regard, the bandh was called by the Congress party and they should bear the loss. In Bantwal the former district minister in-charge has misused the police force and used his personal bodyguard to shut the shops. Even in Uppur the shops have been forcibly closed by the Congress leaders.”

MP Nalin further said, “The Congress leaders have lost their importance in Dakshina Kannada. Now since the Parliament elections are nearing, the Congress leaders are indulged in defaming the BJP and PM Modi. when the BJP had earlier protested, the police had arrested the BJP leaders and party workers and had taken an undertaking by them. But when the Congress leaders have blocked the road and protested why did the Police not arrest them? Congress and the JD(S) are playing with the lives of the people. It is the murder of democracy”.

MP Nalin also said, “Now the Congress leaders have started to call for bandh and in the coming days, the CM will also call for a bandh. Instead of blaming the Modi government let the state government cancel the CESS to reduce the fuel price. In Bantwal there was an attempt on the MLA, his car was damaged by pelting stones. “

When asked about making the rupee stronger against the Dollar (Rs 1 is equal to $15), MP Nalin said, “It will happen if the people will give Modi the chance to rule the country for 20 more years. He has now completed only 4 years, let him complete another five years to see the progress.”

MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharath Shetty, Rajesh Ulipady, Ravishankar Mijar, Kishore Rai and Jitendra Kottari were also present.
