Kemaru Swamiji Meets SP Nimbargi in Shiroor Swamiji’s Suspicious Death case|

Udupi: Sri Esha Vittala Dasa Swamiji of Kemaru Math and Shri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math Gurupur met the SP of Udupi Laxman Nimbargi on July 21, and urged him to thoroughly investigate the suspicious death of Shiroor Math Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji.

Shiroor Swamiji died on July 19, after suffering massive gastro internal bleeding. The medical reports have revealed that the Swamiji died of poisoning.

Speaking to the SP, Sri Esha Vittala Dasa Swamiji said, “We have hopes of proper investigation of the case. But the statement by the Pejawar Swamiji has hurt me a lot. We never expected such a statement from the Pejawar Swamiji in regard to the Shiroor Swamiji. The Pejawar Swamiji should take the lead in asking for a thorough investigation of the case. When any Hindu activist dies, Pejawar Swamiji visits their family but when the Shiroor Swamiji died he refused to visit and also did not attend the funeral.”

Responding to Kemaru Swamiji, SP Laxman Nimbargi said, “The Swamiji’s brother Lathavya Acharya has filed a complaint about the suspicious death of Shiroor Swamiji. We have registered a case under section 174 C CrPC and have sealed some of the places within the Math for investigation. So far we have not taken anyone into custody. The entry for devotees into the Moola Math has been restricted. There is no problem for any of the staff residing within the Math premises. The case is being investigated from different angles, we are waiting for the FSL and post-mortem report”.
