Kundapur: One Dead, Three Injured in Car-bike-tanker Collision at Thekkatte

Kundapur: In a tragic road accident one person died on the spot and three others were severely injured at Tekkatte, here on February 2.

The deceased has been identified as Ravindra Bhat (40), a resident of Chempi near Yedabettu Sastan.

According to sources, Naveen and Manjunath were on their way to Brahmavar from Koteshwar in their Hyundai xcent car. When they reached near Tekkatte bus stand a bike suddenly came from the wrong side.

The driver of the car trying to avoid hitting the bike lost control and hit the median, after hitting the median the car jumped to the other side of the road and crashed into another bike. Ravindra Bhat who was riding the bike died on the spot, his sister Vani who was the pillion rider is said to be in critical condition. The car later collided into an oncoming tanker and came to a halt. Naveen and Manjunath are also critically injured and admitted in a private hospital in Kundapur.

Kota police have registered a case and investigation is on.
