Man who Snatched Mobile from Woman in 2019 Arrested
Udupi: The Brahmavar Police have arrested a youth on July 23 for allegedly snatching a mobile phone from a woman in 2019.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Fahad resident of Melpete Udyavar.
According to the police, on 2019 May 27, while the woman was walking towards Handadi, Kallbettur near Brahmavar, the accused had snatched her mobile phone. The woman had then filed a complaint in Brahmavar police station.
As per the complaint, the police initiated a search operation and arrested the accused. The police recovered the Redmi mobile phone, and a Pulsar motorbike worth Rs 70,00 from his possession. The accused is also involved in various ganja peddling cases in the Manipal and Kaup police station limits.
Under the direction of SP Vishnuvardhan, ASP Kumar Chandra, and DySP Jaishanker, the operation was carried out by Anantha Padmanabha CPI Brahmavar, Raghavendra PSI Brahmavar and others.
