Tea-Seller Applies for Loan but Gets Rs 50 Crore Bank Default Notice

Haryana: A tea-seller from Kurukshetra was shocked to hear that he had to repay a bank loan of Rs 50 crore which he never took.

Rajkumar, a tea-seller after facing a lot of hardships during the lockdown without any business had applied for a bank loan. But his application was rejected mentioning that he had taken a loan of Rs 50 crore which he had not repaid. As soon as Rajkumar came to know the reason for his bank loan being rejected, he was shocked.

Rajkumar, a street vendor, sells tea for a living. He had never taken any loan from the bank. Due to lockdown, as his financial condition worsened, he approached the bank for a loan. The bank asked him to produce his Aadhar card and other necessary documents. When the bank officials checked his documents, they found that Rajkumar owed Rs 50 crore to the bank.

According to the bank Rajkumar, a tea-seller has defaulted in repaying the bank loan of Rs 50 crore.
