Swati and Raghavendra couple of Mangalurean origin, currently employed in Bengaluru, had travelled to their home city to attend the marriage of an acquaintance.

From Mangaluru, they travelled by the Ganesh Travels bus bound for Vijayapura to attend the reception scheduled to take place in Bagalkot.

While getting down at Bagalkot, they by oversight left behind a bag containing gold jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh in the bus.

The bus proceeded further. At Alamatti, the conductor found the bag left behind in the seat by the passenger and brought it to the attention of the driver.

After obtaining the details of the passengers, they contacted the couple, who travelled to Alamatti and claimed the bag.

Although occasional these days, reports of this kind confirm the public faith in the basic goodness in the human beings.
