Mangaluru: Vachan, President of BJP Shakti Kendra, Suratkal and his brother Chethan were severely injured in a road mishap at Mukka here, on the night of June 14.
Vachan and his elder brother Chethan are residents of Mukka. Vachan has suffered severe head injuries and has been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
According to sources, Vachan and Chethan had gone to Bengaluru on June 12. On June 14, they were returning back from Bengaluru. At 11:30 pm, they reached near NITK, their car rammed into a lorry moving in the same direction. Lack of sleep caused the accident, it is learnt.
Vachan and Chethan both were injured in the accident. Chethan has suffered fractured legs while Vachan has suffered head injuries. Both were rushed to the hospital, where Chethan underwent a surgery. Vachan is recovering from his head injuries.
Vachan is an active member of the BJP and president of BJP Shakti Kendra, Suratkal. Chethan works in Bangkok and had come on vacation a week ago.
A case has been registered in the Suratkal Police Station.
