Mangaluru: Sadhvi Balika Saraswati, VHP’s central guiding committee member and a star speaker at the Virat Hindu Samajotsava held in the city on Sunday, is said to have delivered an inflammatory speech.
She spoke about the need for Hindu women to keep swords with them and slit the throats of those casting evil eyes and other reportedly objectionable matter in inflammatory language.
When asked about the speech, city police commissioner S Murugan said that no specific complaint had been received about the tenor of her speech. He said that action would be considered if any complaint was received.
On the question of a possible suo motu action by the police, Murugan said the case was being examined from that angle.
The sadhvi is reportedly 19 years old. Many have expressed surprise at her fiery language at such a young age.
