MCC Health Inspectors Shut Down Unhygienic & Filthy Matka Soda Stall at Kudroli Temple Fair

Mangaluru: Based on the footage from a video recorded by a customer which went viral on Sunday, of a Matka Soda stall set up near the Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple ‘Dasara Fair’, which was unhygienic, employee washing matka pots in polluted water, employees chewing paan and spitting in the stall area, etc-the Mangaluru City Corporation Health Inspectors raided the said stall on Monday, 23 October.

The health officials also went around the area and checked into the hygienic and health safety standards of other stalls set up at the fair, and warned the staff to maintain cleanliness, if not face action from them, for which they all agreed to do so. If you look at some of the stalls, garbage is scattered all over, and cleanliness is not maintained whatsoever. There are street dogs feeding on the leftovers.

And for that matter, apart from these food stalls at the Temple fair, if you go around the City, many of the roadside food stalls do not maintain cleanliness and hygienic standards is a ZERO- what have the MCC officials regarding this, absolutely NOTHING! Just look at the food stalls lining near the Kankanady Circle on Falnir Road late in the evening, they are so pathetic and unhygienic, and the MCC health inspectors have turned a blind eye, and will only wake up and take action when the Malaria/Dengue or other illness spread more in the City.
