Meteorological Centre Warns about Heavy Thunderstorms in Coastal Karnataka

Mangaluru : Even though the weatherman may not be always right, when it comes to weather predictions-but its always better to take precautions rather than feel sorry later. As per the circular sent by the Director and Head of Meteorological Centre-Bengaluru, there are chances of heavy thunderstorms in the next few days- and it is advisable not to plan any outdoor events until 29 May.

Following is the weather predictions from the MC-Bengaluru :

IST of May 25th: Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada district of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall shall exceed 65mm. Thunderstorm with gusty winds likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka. Day 2 valid until 0830 hrs

IST of May 26th: Thunderstorm with gusty winds likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka. Day 3 valid until 0830 hrs

IST of May 27th: NIL Day 4 valid until 0830 hrs

IST of May 28th: Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall shall exceed 65 mm. Day 5 valid until 0830 hrs

IST of May 29th: Heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall shall exceed 115 mm.
