Minister Ramanath Rai Inaugurates First ever Govt Digital LED Hoarding

Mangaluru: To bring awareness among the general public about the various government schemes the Information and Public relations department is holding various programmes. In this regard, the first ever digital LED hoarding was inaugurated at the entrance of the DC office here on November 28.

Information Officer Khader Shah welcomed the gathering and briefed on the advantages of the digital LED hoarding. The district minister in-charge B Ramanath Rai inaugurated the digital LED hoarding.

Addressing the gathering Minister Ramanath Rai said, “Karnataka is the first state in the country to erect the government digital LED hoardings. Today we have inaugurated the first government digital LED hoarding at the entrance of the DC office. To erect the hoarding we have taken permission from the DC and the Mangaluru City Corporation. The total cost of the digital LED hoarding is Rs 32 lakh”.

The digital hoarding will be running advertisements from morning 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, it will consume 30 units of power every day with a continuous internet connection.

The information on various schemes of the state government such as Anna Bhagya, Kshera Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya, Vidyasiri will be given to the public. The Information of all the government schemes will be run from time to time. Information on important programmes in the district will also be run so that the public will be aware of them.

Mangaluru has been announced in the smart city list and the digital LED hoarding will be a gift for the smart city.

MLA of Mangaluru South Constituency J R Lobo, MLA of North Constituency Moideen Bava , DC Sasikanth Senthil and others were also present.
