Minister Roshan Baig Visits Udupi Sri Krishna Math
Minister R Roshan Baig visited the temple and made a darshan of Lord Sri Krishna and also met Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math. The Swamiji honoured the Minister during his visit.
Later speaking to the mediapersons Minister Baig said, “Today I have come to Udupi Sri Krishna Math to congratulate the Pejawar Swamiji for organising the Iftar Party in the Temple premises. When communal elements are indulging in picking up fights on flimsy grounds and disturbing peace, the Swamiji holding an Iftar party for the members of the Muslim community is a bold step in bringing about communal harmony in Karnataka. This is a model gesture not just for Karnataka but the entire country.”
Minister Baig further said, “At the same time our community priests also should invite to their houses and Mosques during the Deepavali time and should celebrate Deepavali together. Only some are creating controversies as they do not have any other job to do. I have prayed to God to give them a good mind. In the meantime, communal forces should learn from the Pejawar Swamiji.”
