MRPL Hosts Artificial Limb Distribution Camp, Benefiting 36 Individuals

Mangaluru: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) recently organized an Artificial Limb Distribution Camp at the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Hall, furthering its commitment to community development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The camp provided customized artificial limbs to 36 beneficiaries, identified in collaboration with the Department for the Empowerment of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens.

   

The assistive devices, manufactured by FIT WELL, were distributed in a formal ceremony attended by key dignitaries. Ms. Jayalakshmi, Deputy Secretary of the Zilla Panchayat, and Mr. Manish Nayak, Officer from the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled, were present alongside Mr. Prashanth Baliga, Chief General Manager (Administration) of MRPL, Mr. Keshav Patali of MRPL, and Mr. Kishore, Proprietor of FIT WELL. The collective effort ensured the seamless distribution of the devices to those in need.

Mr. Prashanth Baliga, speaking at the event, underscored MRPL’s ongoing dedication to community development through consistent CSR interventions. He emphasized the pivotal role these initiatives play in empowering beneficiaries, fostering self-reliance, and promoting a life of dignity.

Ms. Jayalakshmi Rayakode lauded MRPL for its steadfast efforts in fulfilling its social responsibility and making substantial contributions to the welfare of society.

The assistive devices distributed at the camp included 33 Below Knee Prosthesis Silicone Sockets with Single Axis Foot, 6 Above Knee Silicone Liners with Ranger Foot, 2 Above Elbow Hands, and 1 Bilateral Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis.

The program was meticulously coordinated by MRPL’s dedicated CSR team, reflecting the organization’s commitment to impactful and well-organized community outreach. This initiative serves as a testament to MRPL’s broader vision of creating a positive and lasting impact on the lives of individuals within the community.
