Mumbai: Kannada Bhavan Education Society which is running the Kannada High School for the last 50 years in the Fort Area celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 3rd January at Karnataka Sangha’s Dr Vishveswaraya Sabhagraha, Matunga.
Industrialist B Vivek Shetty inaugurated the closing ceremony of the programme. Addressing the gathering he said, “Earlier, those who had property and wealth were recognized as rich people but now those who have good education can earn more money than others. So parents should give importance to education for their children.”
Kadandale Suresh Shetty of Money Fold Credit Society, who was the Guest of Honour, extended his support to successful students of the school. Hotelier Chandrahasa K Shetty was also present as guest of honour. He advised the students and gave valuable tips for a bright future.
Principal Suresh S Suvarna welcomed the guests. Hon. General Secretary Shekar Amin presented a brief report.
Shrinivas Shetty, Vice Chairman Ramnarayan Ail, D B Amin, Treasurer Purushottam Poojary were also present on dais.
