Udupi: New CMC office will come up near the old Taluk office, said CMC President Meenakshi Madhav Bannaje. She was speaking at a press meet held at Sathyamurthy Auditorium, CMC Udupi.

The planning of the new CMC office (ground+3 floors) costing Rs 16 crore has been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner to reserve 1-acre land near the old Taluk office to construct the CMC office. The complex will accommodate banks and Xerox centres.

A commercial complex will be built in Santhekatte. A PPP model of the new Vishweshwarayya Complex will be constructed after demolishing the existing complex. Rs 50 crore has been released for the UGD and Rs 35 crore for drinking water. The additional windrow compost shed will be built in Karval costing Rupees 2 crore.

A vending zone will be created for street vendors, with facilities like drinking water, toilets, and warehouse.

The sewage separated filtered water will be given to UPCL for power generation. The Nittur sewage water treatment plant will be modified and talks are on for the same.

592 complaints were received in the online database of which 588 complaints are addressed, she added. CMC Commissioner Manjunathayya said that the tax revision will be effectively implemented.
