Mangaluru: From treacherous road conditions to soggy jeans and frizzy hair – nobody enjoys riding a two-wheeler in the rain. But now there’s an ‘umbrella’ for two-wheelers that’s designed to keep riders dry as they ride along. Arafat Amir, the owner of Kohinoor Cyber Cafe in the City, and also is the person who had installed a Fridge in front of his Cyber Cafe business near Balmatta which offers Free Food for Poor and Homeless- 24X7 speaking to team Mangalorean said, ” I bought this Bike Umbrella online, which cost me Rs 1200. After seeing on YouTube, few youngsters in Mumbai riding their two-wheelers fitted with these umbrellas, I thought why don’t I try fitting one such umbrella for my motorbike. I also thought it would be wise to introduce this new mode in city. It’s been few days now, and I have never experienced any problem with this umbrella during rains, but still not experience riding with it during incessant downpour. I am happy with it- and others should also give a try”
“It can be fitted to any two-wheeler and can withstand speed up to 60-70 kmph and it comes with fitting accessories and an instruction manual. It can also be detached and folded when not in use. These umbrellas could be very useful for women driving two-wheelers along with kids as pillion riders, and also that they come in variable colors which the women may like. Okay, looking at it I found this a crazy stuff! Apparently bike-umbrella is a real thing. The design is rather weird, but come on, the idea itself is quirky!
