‘Other Than Looting No Good Work Was Taken Up When BJP was in Power’- Dinesh Gundu Rao

Mangaluru: Lashing out against the allegations of BJP MLA from Mangaluru City South D Vedavyas Kamath on a sand crisis in Dakshina Kannada, DKMinister In-Charge Dinesh Gundu Rao, in a reply posted on social media platform X, said that the sand shortage crisis in Dakshina Kannada was not created by the Congress government. “Your double-engine government was in power in the state for the past four years. MLAs, ministers and the MP were all from the BJP. However, the sand shortage crisis could not be solved during your government’s tenure. Keeping aside your politically motivated allegations, our congress government will be making honest efforts to solve the sand crisis in Dakshina Kannada,” the minister said.

Further, Rao said, “The MLA has the habit of repeating one lie a hundred times and trying to project it as a truth. Other than looting, no work has been taken up with a vision for the future, when they were in power. However, it is shameful to wake up suddenly only to blame the Congress,” On the MLA’s allegations pertaining to shortcomings in government hospitals, the minister said that taluk health centres across the state were neglected when the BJP was in power. The BJP government had failed to maintain dialysis centres”

However, the Congress government has already invited tenders for the supply of new dialysis units and their maintenance in district and taluk hospitals. It may be recalled that Kamath had levelled allegations against the Congress government recently for sand shortage, and lacunae in the functioning of dialysis units in government hospitals, added Dinesh Gundu Rao.
