We were enjoying the pleasant weather, driving along the Corniche road in Abu Dhabi on March 23rd night at 9.30 p.m oblivious to the fact that there were a number of people on the road looking up at the sky, when our attention was drawn to an object in the sky.
It was moving like an U.F.O and we could not believe our eyes. We were curious to know what it was and started driving in the direction of the object. To our amazement we saw it moving towards the Meena area in Abu Dhabi. As we approached the road towards Meena, we saw sign boards displayed on the road that mentioned Micro Aviation. We drove on wondering what it meant and as we reached the end of Meena Road, we took the adjacent road and reached a place known to all the residents of Abu Dhabi, “The Irani Souq” (The place in between the Meena Fish Market and Abu Dhabi Co-operative Meena).
When we reached there we saw a huge crowd, who had gathered to watch the paramotoring, paragliding and microlight flying events. We met Captian Laszlo of Micro Aviation Club (MAC) (an ex-Airforce pilot from Hungary) and his team of pilots who had come to Abu Dhabi to promote paramotoring, paragliding and microlight flying in UAE.
“Aviation is a very thrilling and interesting field and it is the responsibility of MAC to promote flying and aviation adventure activities for the enthusiastic and adventure loving people of UAE.”, said Captain Laszlo.
Micro Aviation club is UAE’s first club that offers training on Paragliding, Paramotoring and microlight trikes. The club was formed in the year 2003 by Captian Laszlo who has been in the field of Aviation for the last 15 years and he told us that he is never tired of flying. Flying infact is his first love he says.
Micro Aviation team has a team of experienced pilots with thousands of flying hours from all over the world. . All their pilots are professionals who have been trained as per FAI standards,& they will soon offer Microlight scenic tours to the tourists and the residents of UAE – Micro Aviation Club also offers banner towing for those who wish to advertise their products aerially.
