People Liked Modi Governance, They will Vote for BJP – Vedavyas Kamath

Mangaluru: “Today I have filed my nomination papers to contest from the Mangaluru South Constituency. The party has given me an opportunity to serve the people and only the BJP has given the ticket to a common party worker to contest the elections. I have served as the general secretary of the District BJP for four years and the president of South Constituency for a year. During my tenure, I have visited many houses and met the people. They are happy with Modi’s governance in the centre, the people of the South Constituency want a change and I hope they will elect me in the forthcoming elections”, said the candidate for the forthcoming assembly elections from South Constituency Vedavyas Kamath in a press meet held at BJP office here on April 23.

Addressing the mediapersons Vedavyas Kamath said, “Since my college days I have been actively involved in the Jana Sangha. When the Party is giving an opportunity, we should utilize it well. I also would like to thank the National President Amit Shah, State President B S Yeddyurappa other state leaders and party workers for giving me a chance to contest the elections. I hope to win the elections.”

When asked about the delay in announcing the list of candidates and its effect for the election campaign, Vedavyas said, “It will not affect me in any way. There is a good development and the party workers are committed to working, I will take this election positively. If I win the elections, I will work for the total development of the south Constituency.”

When asked whether any star campaigners are expected to campaign, Vedavyas said, “Modi has given corruption-free governance. We will highlight the good work done by Modi and failure of the state government. In Mangaluru City corporation limits the drainage system is not proper. There is drinking water problem in many wards which I will solve.”

BJP Leaders Premanand Shetty, capt Brijesh Chowta, Nandan Mallya, Roopa D Bangera, Sanjay Prabhu, Ravishankar Mijar and others were also present.
