Prostitution Racket Busted at Padil, 3 Including Pimp Held, 2 Women Rescued
Mangaluru: The CCB police raided a prostitution center at Padil and arrested three persons including a pimp and rescued 2 women from an apartment here on November 11.
The arrested have been identified as Abdul Nazeer alias Shaan (36), from Adyar, Ismail alias Ajmal (26) from Bantwal and Shameer Basha (20) from Bengaluru.
On getting information that a prostitution racket was operating on the 10th floor of a residential Apartment at Alape Padil, the CCB police raided the Thumbay Plaza apartment building and arrested three men including a pimp.Two women were rescued by the police.
The CCB police led by inspector Sunil Naik arrested the accused and confiscated 5 mobile phones and cash Rs 21,750 from their possession.
The accused had rented a flat on the 10th floor of Thumbay Plaza and were running a prostitution centre. On getting reliable information about the prostitution centre being operated in the apartment building, the CCB police raided the flat and arrested the accused red-handed. The accused have been handed over to the Kankanady Town police for further investigations.
Under the able direction of Police Commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth the operation was carried out by the CCB Police Sunil Naik and team.
A case has been registered in Kankanady Town Police station.
