Puttur: Tahira, a homemaker from Perigeri in Badagannur village in the taluk has reportedly gone missing.
Two years ago, she had been given in marriage to a local man who worked as a driver. She had continued to live with her parents, while the husband kept visiting once a week or so.
On March 19, Tahira left the house on the pretext of bringing medicine from Puttur and has not returned home since. Enquiries made with all relatives and acquaintances have not been successful in getting any clues.
Her father has filed a complaint at the rural police station in Sampya. It is suspected that the marriage had taken place against her wishes and therefore she had preferred to stay back with the parents. The police are investigating the case.
