Puttur: Janaki (27), a resident of Anemajalu in the taluk, fell off a bike while returning home with her husband Santosh from the Virat Hindu Hridaya Sangama meet on Friday.
She was in the pillion and accidentally fell off, sustaining severe injuries in the head. Initially admitted to a local hospital, she was later shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru with further treatment. She is said to have died there.
Santosh and she had got married only six months ago.
