Sad Demise of Rationalist Keshav Shet of Udupi at age 87
Udupi: This is to announce the sad demise of Sri Keshav Shet (28.05.1931 to 17-12-2018) a member of our rationalist groups. Though not very much into the public domain he was a source of knowledge and inspiration to a lot of our members. Having worked in the UAE for most of his career he had settled down in Udupi district. He strictly followed the principles of rationalism in his life having never succumbed to superstitious beliefs or practices.
He passed away at a terminal care center at Udupi after slipping into a coma due to a brain hemorrhage. Living upto the standards expected from us he had already executed all the documents needed for the donation of his body to the Anatomy Department of Kasturba Medical College at Manipal. So, that his remains shall be useful for the propagation of scientific temper for which he stood for all his life.
Our tributes to a fellow rationalist brother who lived up to his ideals in life as well as after that. He is survived by his two sons and daughters who have supported their late father’s wishes by co-operating with the process of body donation.
