Salute to Soldiers, District Congress Holds Vijayotsava
Mangaluru: The district Congress celebrated Vijayotsava on February 26 in front of the Congress Bhavan Mallikatta and congratulated the soldiers for hitting the Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) biggest training camp in Balakot, Pakistan.
Congress leaders gathered in front of the Congress Bhavan and gave a big salute to the soldiers for their bravery.
Addressing the gathering district minister in-charge U T Khader said, “on February 14, 44 of our soldiers died in a terror attack. On February 26 early morning IAF planes struck Jaish-e-Mohammad’s (JeM) biggest terror training camp in Pakistan’s Balakot. We all salute the soldiers for their bravery.”
Former district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai, MLC and district Congress president Harish Kumar, MLC Ivan D’Souza, former MLA Shakuntala Shetty, Mayor Bhaskar, Shashidhar Hegde, Apsara Reddy Janet D’Souza, Pushpa Amaranath, Sowmya Reddy, Shalet Pinto, Mamatha Gatti and others were also present.
