SCDCC Makes Record Profit of Rs 28.63 crore – Dr Rajendra Kumar

Mangaluru: The South Canara District Central Co-operative (SCDCC) Bank has completed 104 successful years. SCDCC Bank is a model bank in the entire country. This year the bank has made Rs 28.63 crore profit which is a record. Due to demonetization, people faced difficulties in transactions for five months but the SCDCC Bank has created history by making a profit of Rs 24.07. This year there is an increase of 19% in the profit”, said the President of SCDCC Bank Dr M N Rajendra Kumar in a press meet held at the SCDCC Bank premises here on August 11.

Addressing the media persons Rajendra Kumar said, “The SCDCC Bank has attracted many customers. The bank has recorded Rs 6748.84 crore business during the current year and has the aim to reach the goal of Rs 7700 crore during the year 2018-19. SCDCC has collected a deposit of Rs 3561.24 crore from 105 branches in the year 2017-18 and our bank is in the first place.”

Dr Rajendra further said, “From the past 23 years, the loan repayment is 100 % which is a national record. In Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts we have already distributed 84,000 RuPay cards and also distributed 43,621 RuPay cards to our customers. In the coming days, we will introduce tab banking for our customers to make the banking system easier. Those having Mobiles can operate their account from anywhere. Customers can also transfer the money through Mobile Banking. Through NPCI, Inter Bank Mobile Payment system will be introduced so that the customers can transfer their amount to other accounts.”

Directors Vinay Kumar Surinje, T G Rajaram Bhat, Bhaskar S Kotian, B Raghuram Shetty, M Vadiraj Shetty, K S Devaraj, Sadashiv Ullal, S Raju Poojary, Sashikumar Rai, Rajesh Rao, S B Jayaram Rai, Dr Ikalabava Deviprasad Shetty and others were also present.
