Secreted Gold in Powder Form Worth Rs 27 Lakhs in Passenger’s Body Seized by MIA Customs
Mangaluru: Officers of Mangalore Customs, Mangalore International Airport, have arrested a passenger, who had arrived from Dubai by Air India Express flight No IX 1384 on 20.10.2020.
The said person, named Ashraf Mammed, had secreted gold in powder form in his body. Gold of 24 carat purity of 531.390 grams valued at Rs 27, 36, 659/- has been seized in the said case.
