Sedition Case Filed against Raghavendra Ganiga for Pro-Pakistan slogans
Udupi: “A case has been registered under Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code against Raghavendra Ganiga who shouted Pro-Pakistan slogans at the Mini Vidhana Soudha in Kundapur”, said Kumarchandra Additional SP of Udupi District.
Speaking to the media persons in Udupi, ASP Kumarchandra said, “The Kundapur Tahsildar filed a complaint in the Kundapur Police station against Raghavendra Ganiga for shouting pro-Pakistan slogans. As per the complaint by the Tahsildar, the Kundapur police arrested Raghavendra and booked him under Sec 124A (Offence of sedition) of the Indian Penal Code.
ASP Kumarchandra further said, “Investigation in this regard will continue. There is no clarity in what Raghavendra shouted, we are investigating into his background and also waiting for the medical report”.
